22@NETWORK BCN ORGANITZA UNA JORNADA PER POSAR EN COMÚ LES NECESSITATS DE LES EMPRESES I UNIVERSITATS

Catherine Antheunissens,

On March 7, 22@Network BCN organized a session 22@TALENT MASTERCLASS with the Talent Commission, chaired by Iolanda Triviño. Four universities were invited to the conference, two nationals ones (Pompeu Fabra University and Open University of Catalonia), two international ones (RMIT and Zigurat), and three companies, one from the third sector, Suara, a technological SME, Sosmatic, and one focused on consulting from HR, Ferchau.

At the start of the session, the institutions presented what they are dedicated to and through whom they manage the young talent.

The objective of this meeting was to generate a debate among all the entities to demonstrate the needs of the companies  regarding the labor market and how universities can offer and form the most demanded profiles.

From the session, you can extract reflections and reptes that are very interesting: RMIT University will explain that all and that the university has always been focused on connecting the companies, training students to enter the world of work and transforming the Reality can be from the universities that have created more modular and individualized programs.

From the UPF they will show that the universities have a "handicap" which is that they do not evolve so quickly with the work market and that it was difficult to change the study plans. For this reason, it will propose a more fluid dialogue between companies and universities in order to try to predict future demand profiles and speed up creation.
