Last July 2, the new president of 22@Network Barcelona, Susana Prado, met with the Mayor of Palma, the representatives of the innovation district and "Cercle d'Economia" to promote, collaborate and project the new Innovation District of the city. The meeting was attended by Jaime Martínez, Mayor of Palma, José María Vicens, President of the Mallorca Economic Circle and Pepe Novas, Coordinator of the Science, Innovation and Transfer Commission of the Mallorca Economic Circle.

The aim of the meeting was to promote the digital district as a transformative project for the city with the development pillars of innovation, culture, tourist knowledge and sustainability.

Two years ago the Association created the Alliance of Innovation Districts together with the IASP and the Barcelona City Council, now its new challenge is to create an alliance of Innovation Districts in the Mediterranean where districts such as that of Palma, Tarragona or Malaga.
