BARCELONA INNOVATION AWARDS

We recognize the projects that transform the city.

We present the third edition of the Barcelona Innovation Awards, an initiative promoted by 22@Network Barcelona and Barcelona City Council, with the collaboration of KIMbcn, aimed at highlighting the talent, technology and innovative solutions that drive the future of Barcelona.

With this new edition, we aim to continue fostering collaboration between companies, start-ups and institutions, highlighting those proposals that bring new ideas, models and solutions capable of building a more sustainable, competitive Barcelona that is prepared for the challenges of the future.

Categories 2026

The categories have been defined to reflect the main innovation drivers of the city.

Each project can only be submitted to one category:

DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION

For projects that introduce significant changes in their sector through new technologies, business models or innovative processes.

Aimed at initiatives with scalable potential and the ability to transform the market beyond their immediate environment.

Ideal for deep tech startups, spin-offs, scale-ups or technological projects with clear differentiation.

SOCIAL INNOVATION AND IMPACT

For projects that develop innovative solutions aimed at social transformation.

It is addressed to initiatives that:

  • Address relevant social challenges
  • Generate measurable positive impact
  • Improve the quality of life of groups or communities

Especially relevant for projects in education, inclusion, health from a social perspective or community development.

SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION

For initiatives focused on environmental sustainability and the transition towards more responsible models.

Aimed at projects that:

  • Reduce environmental impact
  • Promote the circular economy
  • Improve resource efficiency
  • Generate environmental and economic value at the same time

INNOVATION DISTRICT 22@

For projects promoted by member entities of 22@Network Barcelona with a direct connection to the district.

It values initiatives that:

  • Generate synergies within the 22@ ecosystem
  • Contribute to the economic and technological development of the district
  • Strengthen collaboration between companies and local stakeholders

Barcelona 2024 Innovation Awards

The first edition was held at the RBA Auditorium, within the framework of 22@Day and the 20th anniversary of 22@Network Barcelona, with the awards presented by the mayor Jaume Collboni.

The awarded projects were:

Barcelona 2025 Innovation Awards

Within the framework of 22@Innovation Day, the Barcelona Innovation Awards 2025 were presented, with the awards delivered by the Fourth Deputy Mayor Jordi Valls. 

The awarded projects were:

  • Social Innovation and Impact Award. Novapedra.
  • Sustainability Innovation Award. Senior Domo.
  • 22@ Innovation Award. Neuroelectrics.
