Last november 14th, ScaleOut Corp. (SOC), based in Tokyo and led by its co-founders and co-CEOs, Masato Iino and Kei Yamagata, and 22@ Network Barcelona, representing the innovation district of 22@, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in supporting startups seeking to expand into international markets. 

This partnership addresses the challenges startups face in their internationalization efforts, such as cultural differences, limited resources, and market validation, by offering a structured approach based on Lean Startup principles.

As their first joint initiative, they will launch the "Journey to Alliance and Beyond" (JAB) program, designed to help international startups explore the Japanese market in collaboration with major local companies. The program combines SOC's expertise in innovation and business development with 22@'s extensive network of startups and technological resources. 

Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to facilitate co-creation between foreign startups and Japanese companies while laying the groundwork for the global expansion of Japanese startups, fostering a connected and sustainable innovation ecosystem.

The signing of the MOU establishes the foundation for the exchange of knowledge, resources, and networks, maximizing co-creation opportunities between foreign startups and local companies in their respective markets.
