Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the Chubu Association of Corporate Executives (中部経済同友会), made up of level managers from Japan’s Chūbu region.

The event, organized in collaboration with NTT DATA and ACCIÓ, took place at UPF Poblenou (Room 55.410) and fostered valuable exchanges on urban innovation, business development, and international collaboration opportunities within the 22@Barcelona Innovation District.

The session was opened by Isabel Sabadí, Director of 22@Network Barcelona, followed by Mr. Kato, Representative Director of Chubu Keizai Doyukai, who highlighted the founding principles behind the creation of the 22@ Innovation District.

After a short coffee and networking break, Mr. Takayuki Suzuki, Senior Sales Director at NTT DATA Germany, led an engaging Q&A session on international partnerships and collaboration opportunities, joined by:

• Ms. Chie Nozawa, Senior Client Manager (NTT DATA UK)

• Ms. Chie Miyazaki, Japan Liaison & International Business Development (NTT DATA Spain)

• Mr. Tatsuya Senda, President & CEO, NTT DATA Tokai Corporation (online participation)

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Xavier Bardají Serra, Senior International Promotion Consultant at ACCIÓ, who emphasized Catalonia’s growing role as a global innovation and talent hub.

The visit concluded with a tour around the district, an inspiring day that strengthens the ties between Barcelona and Japan, promoting knowledge exchange and new opportunities for collaboration.
