Last week, 22@Network Barcelona organized an Immersion Week for delegations from Australia, Poland and Germany. This program aimed to offer participants a comprehensive vision of the 22@Innovation District, explaining how and why it was created, what are its main challenges, and which are its areas for improvement.

It counted on the participation of experts from the 22@ innovation district Barcelona, including 22@Network Barcelona as well as consulting firms with backgrounds in Economics, Architecture, Urbanism, Marketing and Communications.

On the first day, Isabel Sabadí, Director of 22@Network Barcelona, took them for a tour of the 22@Innovation District, showing them the most emblematic buildings, like the Gutenberg square of the UPF, Districlima, Mediatic, the first superblock, Leitat, the Evangelical Hospital, Entegra, Amazon, We Work, the Design Hub, the Container Flats and the Glories Tower.

The work sessions were organized in the UPF Poblenou and were alternated with visits to institutions/companies like Fundación BIT Habitat, Universal Robots, TeamLabs and the Barcelona Super Computing Center.

It has been a fantastic opportunity for the participants to learn first-hand from the experts of the 22@Innovation District in order to apply part or whole of the same model to their city, and a pleasure for us to welcome them!
