The president of the Entrepreneurship Committee of 22@Network BCN, Xavier Simó, attended, together with representatives of the various employers' associations of SMEs and freelancers in the City, a meeting with the First Lieutenant of the Mayor, the director of Barcelona Activa, Félix Ortega, the Executive Director of Entrepreneurship, Business and Innovation in Barcelona Activa, Lorenzo di Pietro and the Business Services Director at Barcelona Activa, Jaume Baró.
In the first place, the City Council's actions for the coming year and the main data were presented and then the attendees propose and expose their needs.
From a general point of view, the City Council has a series of structural challenges the city (Efficiency, Sustainability, Digitization, etc.) and a series of "palliative" challenges to improve the quality of life of those most in need.
In essence, the attendees asked to facilitate the bureaucratic procedures with the City Council (licensing issue), aid for the mobility of the self-employed (especially fleet renewal), aid for the accompaniment of the self-employed by professionals and companies specialized in the needs of the self-employed, bonuses for hiring staff, ease of access to self-employed aid on the City Council's website, and finally, my contribution has been to start thinking about recognizing those self-employed who meet the structural challenges of the City Council (those that are sustainable, energy efficient, digital, etc.) through commercial loyalty solutions (discounts, cultural tickets, etc.).
