SUSANA PRADO, PROFESSIONAL ICT WOMAN AWARD 2019

Susana Prado, director of Information Technology El Corte Inglés en Cataluña (IECISA) and member of the Board of Directors of 22@Network bcn, has received the 2019 Professional ICT Woman Award.

Prado leads the "Dones en valor" initiative of 22@Network bcn, which aims to make visible the female talent present in the different sectors and reflect on the experiences in the development of their professional careers.

The TIC Women Prizes - impulses by the Department of Digital Policies and Public Administration of the Generalitat and by the Observatory of Women, Business and Economy of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona - recognize the talent of women in the technological field with eleven awards, Eight women and three social and business initiatives that promote and give visibility to female talent in the ICT sector.

The jury of this fifth edition has recognized Susana Prado in the Professional ICT Women category, which rewards an outstanding professional career in the world of ICT. "It has been very exciting for the recognition that represents the effort and work of many years in IECISA and in the technology sector," said Prado, who thanks the jury for the recognition. "A recognition, he adds, that I want to share with all of us who are part of IECISA, a company to which I have been linked for over 21 years, who has always had me, has allowed me to grow professionally and personally."

Susana Prado is a computer engineer and this award also recognizes her work to promote and disseminate the role of women in the technological field to offer references to girls and young people who encourage them to study STEM careers (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and assume leadership positions in the sector. Prado thanks for that "all the associations and organizations that, like 22@Network bcn, count on me for their projects that include the binomial women and technology, and of course ... innovation, and also of course the entire IT team The English Court ". Susana Prado takes advantage of this 2019 Professional ICT Award to launch a message: "We continue to promote female talent from the business, professional and academic field because it is a necessity and a responsibility of all," he insists.

The jury of the Da TIC Awards 2019 has also recognized Eliduvina Abad, in the Entrepreneurial category; Rosa M. Badia, Academic / Researcher; Karma Peiró, Disseminator; Núria Salán, Special Mention; Laura Dubreuil, Revelation; Anna Reig, University student; and Anna Dacosta, FP Student. On the other hand, Everis Spain, the University of Deusto and the Spiral Association, Education and Technology have also been recognized in the category of social initiatives.
