PRESIDENT SUSANA PRADO PARTICIPATED IN THE PRESENTATION OF THE STRATEGIC SCIENCE AND INNOVATION PLAN 2024-2027

Last July 16, the STRATEGIC SCIENCE AND INNOVATION PLAN 2024-2027 was presented at the Saló de Cent of the Barcelona City Council. The mayor of the city, Jaume Collboni Cuadrado, kicked off the event by emphasizing that "Barcelona continues to claim science and technology as keys to a better future" and that "The Science and Innovation Plan is the roadmap that will consolidate Barcelona and the metropolitan area as benchmarks in research, innovation and knowledge transfer".

Next, our president Susana Prado participated in the round table afterwards with great innovation and science experts from the city of Barcelona: Andreu Mas-Colell, Dr. Gema Revuelta, Director of the Center for Science Studies, Communication and Society (Pompeu Fabra University - Barcelona) and RAMC academic with the aim of commenting and highlighting the most important points of the plan, which foresees a total investment of 130 million euros between 2024 and 2027.

This consensus in the future of Barcelona is to promote the economy and the knowledge society in different key pillars: Innovation and research, education and training, information and communication technologies, infrastructures, both digital such as physical, policy and regulation, collaboration and networking, human capital and impact talent and the entrepreneurial sector.

From 22@Network Barcelona as representatives of the organizations, entities, professionals and people of the 22@ district, reference in technology, innovation and talent in the world, we make the Plan our own and make ourselves available to the City Council of Barcelona & Barcelona Science and all the entities involved and we commit to actively participate in the achievement of the established objectives, as it is part of our DNA and that of our partners.
