The Agora of the 22@Network BCN is an exclusive event for the dissemination of the global trends that lead the process of technological, social and business change, through the debate for action in the face of opportunities for economic growth, especially linked to new technologies.

The topics discussed refer to the current situation in the technology sector: smart city, big data, drones, 3D printing, post Mobile World Congress trends, Industry 4.0, Cloud, Digital Transformation, logistics of the future, robotics, mobility, Machine Learning or IoT, among others.

The next 22@Àgora will be held on May 31 at 1:30 pm at the Melià Sky Hotel (C/Pere IV, 272). We will have a presentation by Xavier Bardaji, Senior International Promotion Consultant Investment and Foreign Companies Unit ACCIÓ, who will present the study of innovation hubs and explain how, over the last decade, Catalonia has consolidated its position as one of the major emerging ecosystem in Europe.

Technological hubs can be defined as specialized centers that, through technological development and innovation, respond to services, solutions and business functions. The attraction of these centers in a territory is considered strategic given its positive impact in areas such as the recruitment of highly specialized local and international talent, the dynamism of the economy and local service providers or other intangible effects such as import of knowledge associated with innovation and digitization.

An interesting fact is that Catalonia welcomes 96 global technology development centers and that almost 8 out of 10 companies have physically established themselves in Barcelona City. Out of these, 46% are located in the 22@ technology district.
